I relate with this post a lot. For me programming has always been a means to an end. I’ve been always interested in building and shipping products, so for me AI has been a great too to accomplish just that.
I have talked to other developers though, to whom the act of writing code has always been their main driver. For them, the arrival of AI has been a huge driver of anxiety and grief over loosing the art of writing and crafting code.
